Denizens of downtown Montreal may remember the old Place Ville Marie food court that, sadly, closed its door some time ago. Well, today we received the exciting news that not only will the space be reborn sometime before 2019 draws to a close, but that it will receive a much-needed face lift.
Word is that the newly designed food court will be transformed into a 35,000-sq-ft glass-encased gourmet beer and food garden — complete with dozens of restaurants, bistros, delis, cafes and bars offering a wide selection of local beers and wines! The forthcoming designer space, which has been dubbed “Le Cathcart Restaurants et Biergarten” and will be found under Esplanade Place Ville Marie’s glass pavilion, will also serve as the site for special events and will reportedly be open 7 days a week.
To wet your appetite, take a look at these preview photos of Le Cathcart Restaurants et Biergarten, which we have Sid Lee Architecture and A5 Hospitality to thank for the lush and spacious design. Dare we say the end of 2019 can’t come soon enough? Visit the Place Ville Marie website for more info!
